We were honoured to be invited to take some of the children to Porters, the Mayor’s house, to participate in the Commonwealth Flag of Peace ceremony. All children in Year 5 helped towards this by creating the 56 flags of the Commonwealth countries so that we could wave and parade with them on the day. On Monday, we took a selection of Year 5 for the very windy event where we got to meet the Mayor as well as MPs James Duddridge and Anna Firth. After the flag was raised, we went inside the house for refreshments and a tour. Thank you to Gaz de Vere for the professional photos of us.
